Town Square Health Celebrates Seniors at the Rochester Lilac Festival

Each May, Highland Park transforms into something genuinely extraordinary. The Rochester Lilac Festival draws visitors from across the region- not just for the spectacle of half a million blooms, but for the rare opportunity to slow down and be part of something shared. This year, we were honored to be part of that tradition by sponsoring Town Square Health Seniors’ Day!

Community Connections

Community health doesn't begin in a clinic. It begins in the everyday moments where people gather, connect, and feel at ease- and few settings in Rochester offer that more naturally than the Lilac Festival.

Our team arrived at Highland Park ready to listen as much as to serve. Throughout the day, our booth became a place where seniors and their families could ask questions, share concerns, and simply have a conversation about what it means to age well. The exchanges were unhurried and personal.

“This was a chance for us to connect with the Rochester community and hear about their health concerns. We’re so excited to open the very first Town Square Health location in Rochester later this fall, and getting the chance to chat with people who are looking for better health care options was really rewarding. We know we’re building a model that will truly make a difference in their lives.”

- Lauren Ranalli, VP of Community and Patient Engagement

A Focus on Heart Health for Seniors

Among the services we offered was a complimentary blood pressure screening- no appointment, no paperwork, no barriers. Our clinical team was on hand to conduct screenings, review results, and provide thoughtful guidance tailored to each individual.

Blood pressure remains one of the most consequential- and most overlooked- indicators of cardiovascular health, particularly for older adults. Bringing screenings into a community setting removes the friction that often keeps people from acting on what they know they should do. For many who stopped by, it was a first conversation about a number they'd been meaning to check. For others, it was a reassuring confirmation.

Gratitude for the Rochester Community

To every individual who stopped by, asked a question, or simply took a few minutes to engage with our team-  thank you! Your openness is what makes this work meaningful.

We are grateful to the Rochester Lilac Festival for providing a space where community and care can coexist so naturally, and we remain committed to showing up for the people of this region in ways that are accessible, respectful, and genuinely useful. We can’t wait to be back at this event again next year!
